Counseling Services
Individual and Family Counseling
I currently offer individual counseling to children and adolescents ages 3-17. As part of the treatment process, I will include family in a child's treatment by holding family counseling sessions. This allows a holistic approach to a child's healing process.

I work with children who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, traumatic events, behavioral difficulties, and more.

I implement evidenced-based therapeutic interventions to instill self-understanding among clients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.

Group Therapy
I offer a variety of group sessions throughout the year. Most groups run for 8 weeks. Groups I have offered in the past have included: mindfulness for kids, social skills groups, self-esteem for adolescents, and anxiety management groups. Throughout childhood and adolescents peers are everything! Because of this groups can be a very effective form of treatment. Groups allow the client to get support from others going through similar situations, and gain different perspectives.

Check the upcoming events page for new groups being offered!
Play Therapy
As a registered play therapist, I offer play therapy sessions to children and adolescents. I will also use play therapy techniques in family sessions. Play Therapy is an evidenced-based approach to use in a therapeutic setting.

The Association of Play Therapy defines play therapy as, "the systematic use of a theoretical model to establish an interpersonal process wherein trained play therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development.
S.E.A.L Social Emotional Awareness Literacy for Preschoolers
S.E.A.L. Social Emotional Awareness Literacy for Preschoolers® is an early learning program (developed by Lynn Louise Wonders in 2003) for young children implemented in preschool settings by mental health professionals to assist children, teachers and parents in increasing awareness and skills for identifying, expressing and managing emotions while developing effective, respectful assertiveness and communication skills. As a Certified provider, I work with preschools to offer this unique 12 week program in each individual school. I also offer S.E.A.L. periodically through my private practice for children and their families.
